Fred was glad that she finally knew her way around Boston well enough to not use the GPS. Actually, truthfully she probally could have, but something about the electronic voice has always disturbed her. Electronic, recorded, whoever it called back to she didn't like, so she'd simply stopped using it. Yahoo Maps seemed a much friendlier place.
Directions tossed in the seat, along with her cell and a notbook, Fred crossed the city and made her way to Cordy and Orlando's neighborhood. For once thinking and driving didn't seem to lend themselvs to one another, because the thoughts kept taking over her ability to give the road even the littlest amount of attention. Cordy'd lived with being part demon for a long, long time. And Fred remembered what it had been like before. How much pain there had been. And then going through her room with Charles and finding...all that medicine. She'd been hurting for that long, and no one noticing how bad it got. Fred knew everything was new then, and she was stilling learning. But she watched people. It was all she did that whole summer, and she hadn't seen.
That was how useless and winding her thoughts were. Fred sighed, and caught her exit just in time. The point was Cordy had faced a lot of this before. And they certainly weren't going to let her go. Orlando seemed very determined.
And Fred appreciated determined.
Finally reaching their house, she parked, and quickly walked up to the door. She held her breath after ringing the bell.
