Gavin Park works fast.

All right, and I probally just sent all my friends back in LA...because no matter now much I try and can't stop thinking of them, considering their opinion, and being a bit more pocessive than is definitely healthy...anyways. Angel? Wesley and Charles and Lorne, and yes Cordy too? That sentence alone surely sent them into spasms, and Angel into a thoroughly overpowering brood. It's a good thing I finally started building up a sort of immunity to those.

After breakfast with Kara, and lunch with Gavin, I hardly was back in the lab when the fruit basket arrived, almost exactly in time with the audible announcement that I had recieved an email. It was hard to see the delivery guy's face over the top of the basket, and the large pink bow that topped it off. I didn't really think that it seemed like Gavin, with his taste for duck and entirely too strong wine, but then I remembered that Harmony was around here somewhere. I guessed that she probally helped on this one.

The email though? That was ... all Gavin, that's for sure. It thanked me for the afternoon, and conveyed his excitement over everything we discussed, and of course included a list of several 'suitable properties he had lined up for my possible future residence'. And they all looked really lovely, they did, but none of them looked right either. So I sent a reply back, thanking him for his efforts, but declining as politely as I could. Finding my home? It just seems...important. And I don't think I could even explain it outloud and have it make sense to anyone, at least in the way I need it too.

Not even to the police.

So after sitting around the lab for another hour or so, not really sure what to do with myself but continue to take things in, I decided against that for a while. I decided to get myself out. I borrowed a company car, loaded the fruit basket in it, and made my way through Boston on my own. I always thought I had a pretty good sense of direction, and roads certainly shouldn't scare me much after L.A., but I found myself very glad to see the GPS on the dashboard. Ok...and I used it too. I hesitated at first, because that probally meant Wolfram and Hart would have an ever better idea than beofre of what I was doing with their car. But then I figured that would probally happen no matter what.

But that isn't what's important. I found it! I had pulled off to stop at a mall I stumbled across, and take care of a few things like...well clothes. After Plyea I developed this mental stumbling block with wearing anything longer than 24 hours, and these were approaching the three day mark. There was this little neighborhood though, with a few duplexs mixed in with all the houses like they really belonged there. I liked the way the vines climbed up the side of the building, green...and unbroken. As if the owner was content and secure in just letting them be. One of the units was available, a two bedroom - unfurnished. I really wouldn't have cared if it was a studio, it had the vines, and a little balcony with just enough room for a chir or two.

So a signed a year lease, and tried not to start laughing, like before. And then I headed back to the mall. I purchased a few things for the kitchen and bathroom, and a couch from one of the department stores. Funny thing was, they said it would be a two week delievery, but when I gave them my contact information from work. Then...well...I have a couch. Three hours later I have a couch that's green, like the vines outside. And a laptop. And a TV that is currently sitting on the box it came in.

It'll be for catching up. Later though... it's almost time to see how this couch sleeps.
